Bay Area Sierra Club Meeting: Climate Change Awareness Road Trip

Bay Area meetings are on 3rd Wednesday of the month, and start at 6:30pm for social hour; speaker and discussion from 7-8:30 pm.

October Meeting Program:
Air Pollution Scientist Shahir Masri and School Educator Athina Simolais will be speaking about Climate Change. This couple is taking a year off from their regular employment to travel around the US trying to raise awareness about global warming..

They both bring their specialties to the task: His area of research is Environmental Exposure Assessment with a PhD from the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr Masri is on leave from the University of California Irvine. Her teaching is in middle and high school, from which she's taking a year off.

Dr. Masri has written a book titled: BEYOND DOUBT, Answers to 50 Misconceptions on Climate Change. Here is the link:

Directions: Driving east on NASA Parkway, go past the stop light immediately beyond the Hilton at Space Center Blvd. At the next stop light, turn left away from the lake into the park. It's the building with the blue roof.
