Poison Pawns Chess Club and Social Meetup

Will have an instructive session to start the meeting, free play (hopefully work on instruction), and then a round robin tourney for those who want to participate.

King of the Hill — Blitz Ladder at Slowpokes!
$10 entry · unrated G/3+2 blitz · single open section
Sign-up cutoff 6:15 PM sharp — no exceptions. Round 1 at 6:30 PM.
The ladder: board positions are drawn before Round 1. Win and you climb a board; lose and you drop a board and take Black. Draw on Board 1 and the King keeps his throne. We play until there's a clear King or 8:30 PM.
$100 guaranteed to the night's King (paid via PayPal).
House rules: clock move; a knocked-over piece with under a minute is a loss; illegal moves and hung kings can be claimed.
Come early and warm up with casual games before the ladder starts.
Bring clocks and boards.
Please RSVP ahead — when nobody registers, the organizer can't keep the tourney on the calendar.
