Finding the right person for a job can be difficult for hiring manager. They need individuals who have the UX skills and talent to fit into their teams. It can be just as challenging to find the right job for the next advance in your career. In this panel discussion, we'll hear from individuals with experience in hiring UX staff. This session is a great way not only for other other hiring managers to get tips and hints on effective hiring practices but also for UX practitioners to gain insights for furthering their careers.

• Adeleye Lufedeju
Adeleye is the Sr. Usability Analyst at AspenTech. He has worked for over 14 years delivering solutions to complex problems across a variety of industries, including Japanese Anime, Oil and Gas, Medical, Logistics, and Mobile experiences. Adeleye received his B.A. in Graphic Communications from the University of Houston. He spends his free time with his family, playing video games, politics, and cheering on the Astros and Patriots.

Austin is an Experience Director with Avanade where he helps the world’s largest enterprises transform how they connect with employees and customers. As the XD Lead of the Houston Studio, he’s helping to operationalize the Studio’s design thinking and experience design capabilities.

Nick has been designing websites and applications since the early days of the web. After working as a developer for several years at ExxonMobil, he realized his passion for crafting great experiences had a home and a future in the world of experience design. In 2015, he turned this passion for design into a role as head of the fledgling User-Centered Design team. Just 4 years later, the UCD mindset and practices have permeated the culture of the IT division, and the principles of design thinking and human-centered problem solving are making significant inroads into all major business units. He now has his sights on an even larger goal: teaching people the proper way to pronounce GIF. Nick currently resides in Spring, TX with his incredible wife and their three delightful children.

Visitor parking is available in the surface lot in front of the building, as well as in the basement and first floors of the parking garage. Once parked, all visitors must sign in with the 1st floor receptionist upon entering the building.
