The most awaited design event of the year is here. We are accepting RSVPs for our next design-a-thon "Design for Houston 2020". Please find more details and register at (http://www.designforhouston.org) and RSVP here to let your fellow design thinkers know that u are coming.
What is Design for Houston?
As they say, the best solution ideas come from people who directly face the problem. when it comes to problems faced in the city, it is the citizens who could best identify the problem and provide the appropriate solutions.
The Design for Houston 2020 event brings Houstonians from all facets of life to find solutions to everyday problems faced by our city. For two days Houstonians will come together to understand problem context, do quick descriptive research, brainstorm to generate ideas, probably designing MVPs or working prototypes. City experts would be available to share the understanding of internal city processes. Participants would get a chance to learn tools, techniques and best practices of Creative problem solving, Service Design and Design Thinking. Upon completion of the process, your ideas will be evaluated by a panel of experts and hopefully adopted and put to use by the City of Houston.
Join us in this thought invigorating the two-day event and work with the City-of-Houston to make our home, even more awesome!

Morning: Sign-up, Introduction to the challenge, Team formation
Afternoon: Descriptive research, Interviews with City experts
Early evening: Ideation to Generate Ideas
Sunday, February 23rd, 2020 [9:00 AM - 5:00 PM]
Morning: Prototyping the top Idea
Afternoon: User testing and refining Prototypes
Early evening: Team demos
What to bring?
Bring your laptop to do research and file shares if required. Also, bring loads of energy, creativity, and love for your city!
