This event includes lunch in the museum's restaurant and early-entry into the museum. In exchange for a donation from our budget, the museum will open 1-hour early exclusively for HPW members. This will help us beat the heat! :)
Once or twice a year, HoustonPhotowalks.com celebrates our retro-photography fans and folks who process their digital images to look retro. This year's Retro-Photography Day will be at Heritage Village Museum, Hw190 just West of Woodville.
About Retro and Alternate Photography Techniques
The film look is making a big nostalgic come-back! Creative people are experimenting with alternative ways to make images other than pixel-perfect digital cameras. If you play with Polaroid, Holga, plastic lenses, TLRs, expired 35mm film, nifty iPhone apps, LENSBABIES, etc, this event is for you!
About Heritage Village, Woodville ( See Website (http://www.heritage-village.org/) )
Heritage Village is a living museum of pioneer history, with a main street that is right out of the mid 1800's to early 1900's. Walk through an old-time blacksmith shop, railroad depot, stable and the community's log cabins.
Heritage Village is an outstanding insight into what pioneer life in East Texas was like. See images posted below.
