Announcing a new meeting for The Houston Yoga Group!

Yoga and Meditation Weekend at Ench?
What: Yoga and Meditation Weekend at Enchanted Rock!

When: Friday, May 30, 4:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Who should come: Those wanting to spend a nice weekend with nature at "Enchanted Rock" this huge dome of granite was named by the indians for it's enchantment. It is also known to have a strong vortex of healing energy!

Why: We will be hiking, have a sunset meditation and practice some yoga.

Meeting Description: We will have a morning meditation at Turkey peak on Saturday followed by a modified yoga class. We will spend the day hiking and exploring Enchanted Rock and end Saturday with a sunset meditation at the top of the Big Dome.

Please bring a lunch that you can pack in your day pack as well as plenty of water for the hike. Do not pack too heavy for the day as you will have to carry it around with you. You might also want to bring your yoga mat for comfort! We can return these to the campsite before we venture out for the remainder of the day.

There are two ways to visit Fredricksburg.
1. Stay in a B&B or motel in town (You are on your own here)
2. Camp. We prefer the camping method. If you are interested in this, we can accommodate up to 3 extra tents at our site that we have. Please reserve quickly if you would like this option and be sure to let us know so we can reserve your spot. The park entrance fee is $5 / person.

If you would like to reserve your own camp site go to: and click on the make reservations tab.

Car pooling can be arranged so that we do not waste gas with too many cars! We typically leave at late afternoon on Friday and try to get there before the sun goes down.

What to pack: Anything that will make you comfortable for a weekend getaway. Here are a few key items for camping:
Tent, day pack, pillow, sleeping bag or blankets, something to put on the floor (it can be quite cold and hard), toiletries, hiking shoes, socks, warm weather athletic clothing easy to move in, water, snacks and easy to prepare foods! We have a camping stove, however if you feel inclined please bring your own.

We typically go into town on Sunday for lunch. You might also enjoy some of the boutique shops in town before heading back to Houston on Sunday.

More details will be provided to those that RSVP!

We look forward to seeing you on this "enchanted" weekend.
