To cover us for COVID law, I am sharing the following guide lines

FIRST OF ALL
Have you any of the following;
1) A new or continuous cough (coughing for longer than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes within 24 hours)
2) High temperature or fever.
3) Loss of, or change in sense of taste or smell.
4) Living with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or had symptoms of COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

If the answer to any of these questions is YES then please DO NOT attend the walk.

BE AWARE
1. Should someone who has been on a walk contract Covid19 you may need to self-isolate for a period of up to 14 days. You may want to factor this into your decision whether to attend a walk.
2. As an "organised physical activity" the walk is exempt from the "rule of six", but this only applies whilst actually walking. At the pre-walk gathering the rule of 6 applies and we should not congregate in groups of more than 6 at this start point. So if we can spread out at the start please.

WALK REGISTER To meet the needs of a walk register, I suggest that a photo is taken of all walkers before the start of the walk, as I have all phone numbers, this should work. The photo should not be used for any other purpose except a register of who walked and can be deleted after 28 days. If I’m walking i’ll take the photo if not if I ask one of you to take the photo and keep as the record if needed.

WALKER'S RESPONSIBILITIES
Observe social distancing whenever possible, including at the start point.

This group meets on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for early morning seafront speed walking.

Walking has been proven to be enormously beneficial to raise the mood and to improve overall fitness. ,and is a great boost to start the day and enjoy the sea and good company.

We walk at quite a fast pace to get the heart rate up , but no one gets left behind! If you feel you may be a little slow to start with come along anyway...you will be so surprised at how quickly your pace will increase when walking with others.

We meet on the seafront near the King Alfred car park in Hove and leave (promptly) at 7:15. We walk for 45 mins (approximately 3 miles) on a route which takes along the seafront for one and a half miles and back again

There is free parking in the King Alfed car park at this time.

New members will only be accepted, when they display a full name and personnel profile

There is no fee for this walk but members will be asked for a contribution to the meetup membership fee every 6 months.

Please note we keep our membership numbers to 50. We do regularly edit our membership list to keep it to this number so if you have signed up but not walked for a few months you will be removed.
