What we're about

Hudson Valley Compassion (HVC) is was founded with the following goals: to form a collective of people in the community with diverse interests who are concerned for animal welfare globally and strive to act locally to create positive, sustainable change. It is currently being run and administrated by staff of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary which holds many events events that seek to educate about the rights of animals, veganism and related environmental issues.

HVC advocates on behalf of animals used for human profit including food production, entertainment and pharmaceutical research. We work both individually and collectively within the community to educate and help raise awareness about animal welfare issues.

Goals for the group include volunteer opportunities, field trips, networking gatherings, creative outreach and activism.

You need not be a vegetarian or vegan to join, but you must have an interest in being active within your community to help support compassionate causes.
