ARC38 is a 501c3 nonprofit project situated on over 188 acres of protected wetland, agricultural property and forested hills located in Amenia, NY, two hours from NYC. With its roots firmly grounded in activism, sustainability, agriculture, building networks, spirituality, philosophy and radical pacifism, Arc38 strives to embody a living experiment in community building.

JAN SHUSTER has had a life long interest in community and has been on the board of Arc38 since 2017. He will lead us through the history of this project, highlighting the salient points and challenges currently facing this nascent intentional community. We are invited to witness the highs & lows he will recount, and to offer our own visions toward building community in a beautiful corner of NY state ripe for committed individuals. A large farmhouse provides a place for people to live and be involved with the organization.

DAGEN JULTY is a long standing and avid communitarian. He has experienced first hand the power and efficiency of Group Mind to solve problems. Experienced in group dynamics, he will lead the participants in a talking circle, enabling us to get to know each other and become familiar with a working model for co-creating solutions.

FORMAT: We will begin with a community pot luck followed by Jan’s presentation & a talking circle led by Dagen to discuss the issues brought up at the presentation.
