What we're about

This is a group of Dog lovers that like to socialize and get out for walks, hikes, or attend events with our 4 legged companions.

We are all easy-going, dog-loving people, and we understand that some dogs need a little more time to warm up to the pack. Never hesitate to ask questions about our pack, We have some very knowledgeable dog lovers in this group! If you don't have a dog, as long as you like being around dogs, you are more than welcome to get your "dog-fix" with us!

Our hikes/walks range from somewhat challenging and strenuous to very easy walks in the park. With skill levels ranging from beginner to expert and anywhere in between, all are welcome! We try to find dog-friendly restaurants locally to the hike where we can enjoy each other's company just a little longer.

We also attend events organized by others there bringing our dogs are encouraged and accepted! We love exploring local, outdoor, dog-friendly locations and meet like-minded individuals, and we hope you would like to join us

Let's check out what the greater Hudson Valley area has to offer for pet-friendly recreation.

Join us at Fahnestock State Park, Hubbard Lodge

Hubbard Lodge

Let's revisit Hubbard Lodge in Fahnstock, where we will follow the School Mountain Road trail to the ruins, and back, perhaps looping up East mountain, weather and trail conditions permitting.
This trail is approx 4 miles in and out and should take no more than 3 hours. Unless we decide to go up the East mountain trail, which will add about 1 mile.

Depending on the weather, we might change the start time. And if we get alot of snow this week, we might reroute all together. Please check in here and your email to see if there are any changes

Remember to bring plenty of water for your companion and yourself.

in short: protect your pups' paws.

Don't forget your spikes! If you don't have spikes yet, now is an excellent time to get a pair. I recommend micro-spikes, but it's ultimately your choice. https://www.greenbelly.co/pages/best-crampons-and-microspikes
