Join us in exploring the Neversink Gorge Unique area, which is in Sullivan County! This is a different kinda hike, some ups, and downs, with gorges, waterfalls, and river views!

If you decide to come with us, show up and be on time, some of your fellow hikers show up 10-15 min early as so to be ready, show them the respect they deserve! If you have a history of no-shows, you will be moved to the waitlist.

We'll explore some of the side trails to the river and the loop to Mullets Falls. The loop and side trails should be just over 5 miles total. It's considered a moderate hike, with a total elevation gain of 669 feet. No scrambles, but some hills.

Opportunities for a nice lunch after the hike are plentiful in Rock Hill, so stay tuned...

Trailhead parking is very limited. There is no cell phone service once we approach the trailhead, so if you see your running late, try letting me know as soon as you can. We'll wait for you! I'm usually at the trailhead 15-20min before schedule.

DIRECTIONS:

To the Katrina Falls Rd. Parking Area: Located at the end of the Katrina Falls Rd (a dead end road) in the hamlet of Rock Hill (located within the Town of Thompson). From NYS Rt 17 East, get off exit 109 and make a right onto Rock Hill Drive, then make your first right onto Katrina Falls Road (Dutch’s Tavern is on the right-hand side). Follow Katrina Falls Rd all the way until the end. The parking area will be on your left.

What to bring: Pay attention to the forecast, you might need a rain poncho! Always bring plenty of water and a snack for both you and your pooch! We will take a break at the waterfalls. Please read the Hiking Checklist

Please note, the 15 person limitation is to have some control over how many dogs attend. How many have met and get along, and how many are new to the pack. First 12 are guaranteed a spot, the last 3 will be added to the list 48 hrs before the start time. Organizer reserves the right to add from waitlist regardless of when you signed up. IF you change your mind, or something comes up, and you can't join us, please remove your name from the list as soon as possible! Those who attend without dogs and dog-less guest do not count against the total guest limits. Please let this organizer know if you are not bringing a pooch!
