1- educate youth on dog safety/handling and proper ways to interact with dogs
2- promote humane ways of communicating with dogs and
3- eradicate the use of inhumane and aversive tools and techniques in pet dog training
We offer a force free dog training summer camp for kids ages 7 through 12 where we pair children up with a rescue puppy to train and become an ambassador for the dog's adoption. In turn, the child learns importance life skills like patience, compassion and a sense of accomplishment.
We are also doing an inaugural dog friendly 1 mile/5k walk/run on February 25th at 7am at Haulover Park. Funds raised from this initiative will provide opportunities for children who would otherwise not have the opportunity to attend the camp. Check out the meet up details for more information.
