HSGP Winter Solstice Celebration and FUNdraiser

HSGP is honored to invite you, your family, and your friends to attend our 19th Annual Solstice Party! Each year, we Humanists gather on (or near) the longest night to remember and reflect upon the previous year and plan for the next. Please join us for an evening to support HSGP’s on-going activities with a potluck dinner with friends and family. Play games, discuss your favorite Humanist topics, and win prizes! We'll also have our annual tag sale to fund HSGP operations. There will be donation options to fit most budgets for those who are able to help keep the lights on and the trash picked up, among other things.

This is a child-friendly event! We have activities for your little Humanists as well. They will be making gingerbread houses or making use of any of our toys in the playroom. Please comment below this Meetup to let us know how many kids you are bringing, and their ages.

This is a “Bring or Pay" Potluck: either BRING something delicious to share, or PAY $$ as a donation to HSGP. Cash or checks preferred. Here are your payment options: Adults $20 full price; $10 with food or volunteering (1 hour min); $5 for both food and volunteering (1 hour min). Kids under 12 eat free! Whether you pay or bring, BYOB. Tell us in a comment (bottom of this Meetup) what you're going to bring: main dish, side dish or dessert.

The schedule for the day is as follows, including volunteers:
1 pm - Set-up volunteer crew
4 pm - Volunteer orientation
The Main Event
5 pm - Doors open: dine, imbibe, socialize, play games, and buy tag items!
Games and children's activities available throughout the evening.
5:30 pm - First Raffle
6 pm - Official welcome - Second Raffle
6:30 pm - Third Raffle
7 pm - Installation of the 2018 board & presentation of the Helen Goldsmith Award - Fourth Raffle
7:30 pm - Fifth Raffle
8 pm - Sixth Raffle
9 pm - Cleanup & Close
Sunday, Dec 17: 8AM - 11AM: final cleanup
