This meeting is dedicated to getting to know our new Executive Director Luke Douglas. Luke will tell us his story and talk about some of our plans and goals. Bring your questions!
Luke Douglas is a pragmatic progressive, veteran activist, and constitutional lawyer who serves as Executive Director for the Humanist Society of Greater Phoenix.
A former fundamentalist Christian and homeschool graduate, he spent years as a conservative political operative before curiosity compelled him to question the worldview he had been taught. He became an atheist, dropped out of seminary, kissed his conservative career goodbye, and never looked back.
With experience that spans the ideological spectrum, he brings a wealth of knowledge to bear for HSGP and a passion for the humanist community. He holds a juris doctorate in law and a bachelors degree in communications. Contact Luke at [masked] for speaking engagements or writing opportunities.
Doors open at 9:00 am for optional buffet breakfast ($5 donation) and socializing. Presentation begins at 10:00 am.
