The Colorado Secular Conference has exploded onto the secular scene with exponential growth since Humanists Doing Good hosted the first conference in Grand Junction in July, 2012. The 3rd Annual Conference will already be competing with the big national conventions. This 3-day event boasts speakers and presenters flying in from all over the country. Check out the incredible lineup. And it doesn’t stop there. Next year, the 4th Annual Colorado Secular Conference is combining forces with the American Humanist Association, which is holding its annual national convention in Denver. Together, along with other local groups, the plan is to put on the biggest secular event ever held in Colorado.

This year’s conference will be held at the beautiful Radisson Denver Southeast Hotel on August 15th, 16th and 17th. The theme for this year is “Celebrating Secular Diversity”. We are reaching out to every community, every human being, regardless of your race, gender, sexual preference or anything else, as long as you can think for yourself. It is NOT a matter of whether we are equal. It is a matter of why is there an issue about being equal in the first place?

On Friday, August 15th, the conference will kick off with amazing seminar in the late afternoon, followed by a reception with food, beverages and diverse live music. After that, a mini-freethought filmfest will be presented until Midnight.

Saturday will be so jam-packed with stuff, your head will be spinning. The day will start with speakers and presenters all day, followed by a gourmet banquet dinner with live music and an amazing show starring Hemant Mehta ("The Friendly Atheist") and Seth Andrews ("The Thinking Atheist"). Then, get ready to laugh so hard you’ll be turned inside-out at the Godless Heathen Comedy Extravaganza.

Sunday will go until the late afternoon, again packed with awesome speakers and presenters. We are proud to be able to offer a basic full pass for only $99. This allows you to attend all of Friday’s events, all day events on Saturday, the banquet/show, and all day Sunday. The Godless Heathen Comedy Extravaganza is an additional ticket, but if you purchase a VIP pass for $175, you get everything in the basic full pass plus the comedy show, along with the Sunday VIP breakfast with the stars, a lunch buffet on Saturday and Sunday, access to the VIP lounge with free beer and wine, and an entry into the drawing for a fabulous grand prize. Also, events can be purchased separately with our a la carte menu. Seniors and active military personnel will get a big discount, and there is a very special pass at a very low rate for students.

For kids ages 6 to 14, Camp Quest Colorado is hosting a mini camp at the conference all day Saturday, during the banquet and all day Sunday, so parents can bring the kids while they attend the conference. Camp Quest will have all sorts of activities for the kids to keep them busy. There is an extra charge for the mini camp.

There will also be a teenager hangout with video games and other activities.

The Radisson/Red Lion Denver Southeast is offering a special room rate of only $99 per night for conference attendees. This is a really good deal for this hotel. The rooms include free Wi-Fi and breakfast. There is a link to the hotel website on this website.

Just outside the hotel is a light rail station, where you can travel all over Denver by rail, including Downtown Denver. There are many sights to see and things to do in the Denver area and the mountains. If you are traveling from out of the area, stay a few extra days and head for the hills. The mountains in August are breathtaking.

There is so much more to say, but we hope this welcome message will help to give you an idea of what is in store for you if you go to this incredible event. Prepare to be amazed, informed and entertained.
