Ravenna Park Picnic Shelter #1
Atheists, agnostics, skeptics, free-thinkers, questioning, and believers - whatever you like to call yourselves, join us on July 4th to celebrate the United States and our freedoms, especially of and from religion! Enjoy some great food, meet friends both old and new, and have a fun afternoon with atheist/secular organizations from around the Seattle area and the greater Pacific Northwest!
As a bonus, help us celebrate the Seattle Atheist Church's 10-Year Anniversary! That's right - we've been running for 10 years now! (Can you believe it?!)
To make our celebration truly spectacular, we kindly request that you bring a dish. Whether it's a mouthwatering barbecue recipe, a refreshing salad, a scrumptious dessert, some non-alcoholic drinks, or any other culinary delight that embodies the spirit of summer, your contribution will add to the festive atmosphere. In addition to indulging in delicious food, we encourage you to bring along any outdoor games, blankets, or outdoor chairs to make the most of this joyful gathering.
But! If for whatever reason you're not able to bring something to share, don't let that deter you from attending! There will be plenty of food to go around, and nobody will be turned away on that account.
There will be some tables with seating available, as well as grills (we'll provide charcoal) and an outdoor sink. There is no electricity, however.
NOTE! Fireworks are prohibited, as are alcoholic drinks and any amplified sound, so please don't bring any of that.
Please spread the word among your friends and fellow non-religionists, and invite anyone who might not be on our email list yet or who might not check their email regularly. The more, the merrier!
We hope to see you there!
