(Above Photo & comment by Ken Bundrick) "I'm not sure what is funnier: the church name, the city or the message. Altogether, it is quite humorous."

This month we will watch portions of "Religion vs. America" by Leonard Peikoff. Peikoff is the intellectual heir of Ayn Rand, the creator of the philosophy of objectivism. I find the Objectivists most logical and clear spoken and I know you will enjoy this perspective. We will stop and discuss at various points.

I hope you can view this in advance and offer your insights at our meeting Thursday.

Fidalgo Atheists meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month. I schedule the meetings to run from 7:15 to 8:30 PM.

Currently the location is the upstairs meeting room at:
Village Pizza, 807 Commercial Avenue in Anacortes.

The space is reserved for 7 to 9 PM. Please reward Village Pizza for allowing us to use their space by ordering food and drink.

To ensure that everyone is heard we will observe the following practice. I will note each request to speak and recognize each person in the order that I am made aware of their wish to speak. When someone is speaking we will not respond or interrupt but will instead wait to speak when it is our turn. This arrangement, which applies to the moderator as well as others, insures that each person can comment without being befuddled by the distraction of interruption.

If you would like to make a presentation please contact me to arrange for a time slot. I set no limits on viewpoint or language although I will try to limit comment time to 2 minutes each time a person has the floor. So long as each participant is civil and respects the forgoing constraints, all viewpoints are welcome.
