What we're about

11 on 11, Netted goals, white lines, banter and a spirited peanut gallery are all provided as teams will be selected each Sunday based on available talent with an eye towards parity. The Blancos versus the Burgundios is never about the score, it's about .. uh, ok, it's about the score. The winner has plenty of ammunition for later because we get together after practice and/or games at the Old World Restaurant and Biergarten where we have our clubhouse and celebrate another week of being on the pitch.

Open Scrimmage

Talbert Middle School

It's official - Summer schedule in effect = 9:30 AM match time! Open 11 on 11 scrimmage with netted goals at Talbert Middle School ($3 a person). Comprised of an eclectic group of world wide nationalities and backgrounds, OWFV is about the enjoyment of the game, so scrimmages are held in a “friendly” rules environments. Injured players are sometimes co-opted as referees, however with no sliding allowed (we all want to play the next week) self called penalties are usually the rule of the day on the pitch. Click here for more Open Scrimmage information on the OWFV.org website (http://owfv.org/about/open-scrimmage/).

Soccer Sunday

Old World Village

After the action on the pitch it's time to get together after practice and/or games at the Old World Restaurant and Biergarten and celebrate another week of being on the pitch. We will update each weeks Soccer Sunday MeetUp to reflect any games of import that will be on the big screen (saved or live) as well as give advance notice (when possible) for any of the post-match smorgasbords that get laid out by our awesome members. Remember what the Burgermeister says: "You never know what's going to happen on Soccer Sunday." Sage words. See you after the match!
