Off The Grid Hiking/ Adventures- Ongoing

OFF the Grid/Kayak and Hike Combo

We will meet first at the NACK rental on HWY 72 west and then will put in at the Flint River either at the Hwy 72 (Talado) landing or the NACK put in on Brownsboro road depending upon if you have your own boat or are renting, Along the way we will stop and do a short off trail hike to the top of Subletts Bluff for a view of north Madison county and then continue our journey down the river to our take out on little Cove Road. This is rated moderate in difficulty. You must bring or rent a PFD( personal flotation device) Bring water and a snack. Trip will be from 3.5 to 4.5 hours. If renting you will have to contact NACK directly. 20 people max for trip. More details to come.

Easy walk on Indian Creek Trail

Needs a location

Let's get some exercise! We usually walk a little over 2 miles within an hour. We walk 30 minutes in, then 30 minutes back. This is a non hosted event. Whoever RSVPs Yes, please plan on being there. We meet at the entrance of the trailhead, where the sidewalk ends and the asphalt starts. We wait a few minutes after the start time before we head out. thanks!

Tuesday Trails

Tuesday Trails( On going)- We will meet at the hikers parking lot( second lot on your right) in Monte Sano State Park( not the main lot with the pavilion) at 5;20 and will hike until sundown when the trails close, We will usually hike 3 to 6 miles depending upon sunset. We will pick one of the trails in the park system and travel a fairly brisk pace. Dogs allowed on leash and no children under 13.There may be a fee to enter the park. Bring water especially for summer hikes. If anyone else wants to assist in leading these Tuesdays hikes they can be more frequent and dependable. Let me know and we will coordinate a schedule.
