Let's get some exercise! We usually walk a little over 2 miles within an hour. We walk 30 minutes in, then 30 minutes back.
This is a non hosted event. Whoever RSVPs Yes, please plan on being there. We meet at the entrance of the trailhead, where the sidewalk ends and the asphalt starts.
We wait a few minutes after the start time before we head out.
Join us for a leisurely one hour stroll thru the gardens. If you don't have a yearly membership the admission fee is $12 ($10 if 55+).
For those that are interested, we will eat at a nearby restaurant after the walk.
We plan on meeting every other week. Keep an eye on this page for cancellations due to weather.
Everyone is welcome to the Sierra Club Tuesday Night Hike! We depart at 6:00 pm sharp from the Monte Sano State Park Hikers’ parking lot on Nolen Avenue (get there early to sign-in). There is a small fee to enter the park and all dogs must be on a leash while in the parking lot and during the hike. Though not strenuous, hikes may be vigorous and range from 3 to 5 miles, depending on the sunset. Bring water and snacks. Dress for the weather, rain cancels. For directions or questions contact Aaron at [masked].
We will meet in the parking lot at Heritage Elementary school off of County Line Rd. in Madison. After coming thru the entrance to the school turn left in the parking lot and there will be an area on the left set aside for greenway parking.
We will walk for about an hour on the Bradford Creek Greenway.
