The Phoenix Rides : Interval Training (Gain the edge on your athletic self)

Feel like lacking the sprint power when you most need it? Fatigue and no point of revival after a high intensity ride. This is the training for you. Summary : Intervals of intense riding followed by slightly longer intervals of recovery, which one will gradually buildup over time to allow longer riding times at peak performance levels. Modify the technique and interval times at your will and practice. More details on the technique can be found here Quick points : 1. We never decrease the intensity. we stick to it. It is the timeframe of peak performance we need to lengthen and we do it here. 2. If you feel tired you vary the time of intense ride (shorter) but never trade with ur max effort. 3. keep a heart rate monitor handy if you have one (read the tips in the link on how to set your work intervals according to heart rate) 4.
