Why Home Run Lisbon? Score rooms, apartments & resources with members! Metaphors aside, at least once a week we all get this question...''Do you know a place that I can rent?'' Or we hear....''I´m moving out soon, my apartment will be available...& I have some great things to give away'' Either way, we all know finding or leaving our living space is challenging, and it´s no different in Lisbon. The objective of this new meetup, Home Run Lisbon, is to give people the opportunity to discover solutions, 'tete-a-tete', 'face to face' in a weekly meetup. We will create a physical list of upcoming accommodation availability and resources from participants at our location in Mouraria. The list will be available ONLY in physical form at the meetup location, and participants of the Home Run Lisbon meetup (no online version is planned, no emails will be sent with the list and no social media postings). WHAT TO BRING. You're upcoming or current space availability, or search details. Please don´t sign up and not show up. Better to not sign up and simply attend. We simply do not have time or interest to hear why you can´t or couldn´t make it! Home Run Lisbon
"Fredagsbajer" is a concept related to "fyraftensbajer". Fyraftensbajer is the beer you drink after your job is done and you are ready to go home. Fredagsbajer is the beer(s) you drink with friends when the week transforms into the weekend. With the house-made beer, eat a house-made pretzels, German style! Want to learn how to make pretzels? Come earlier (18h) and participate. AMO Brewery produces all AMO craft beers in-house. The art_space in the mezzanine hosts visual art exhibitions, as well as musicians, djs and performers. If you make music or art, come by and talk to us about doing an event! No need to RSVP, and no need to cancel if you can't make it. We'll be there, celebrating friends and Friday!
Want to learn how to make your own beer, in a comfortable small-group setting? In this 2-part Home-Brewing workshop (part 2 will be scheduled when we meet), you’ll learn the theory and practice of how to make beer at home, from raw ingredients to finished and packaged product. Workshop includes teaching materials, free beer tasting, and you take home the beer we make together! We will produce a 20-liter batch of home-brewed beer from whole grains, from start to finish, learning the secrets of beer-making art and science during the process. Topics we will cover: – Raw ingredient selection. – Sugar extraction from malt. – Boiling and cooling. – Fermentation process. – Recipe design. – Purchasing/building brewing equipment. – Post-fermentation options. – Bottling. – Sanitation. – Troubleshooting potential problems. How to participate: Workshop cost is 50eur per person. A 10eur deposit is required to confirm your place, limited to 8 participants. Please write me at [masked] to get the deposit details! About the instructor: Margaret began as a hobby home-brewer in Canada. After moving to Lisbon in 2012, she again picked up the hobby, which soon became all-consuming. In late 2016, she founded the AMO Brewery.
