Why DAML language to create smart contracts in Fabric, Sawtooth, more?

Details
Why DAML?
The distributed ledger is a fundamentally new type of database and DAML is a fundamentally new type of language designed for it. Join Anthony (Developer Advocate, Digital Asset) as he talks about what DAML is, why we'd use it, and why would someone design a programming language specifically for smart contracts and the blockchains that power them.
In this session Anthony will also be showing off a live demonstration of a beer IOU tracker in 30 lines of DAML, and a full end to end deployment of a DAML application on Fabric that you can follow along with in your browser.
