Abstract: Blockchain technology gained huge adoption in the enterprise applications in the past couple of years. As with any new technology, the early adopters have failed to leverage the benefits of blockchain, often introducing blockchain as an appendage to an existing application. At ChainYard, we have realized this early on, as we experimented with blockchain technology. We will present how we were able to disrupt the Supply Chain Industry with our approach of creating a trusted supplier on-boarding mechanism with blockchain as the nucleus. We will also discuss how we engineered our Blockchain Revolution's prestigious Innovative Entrepreneurship Award winning Trust Your Supplier network, and an ecosystem around it, the governance aspects, and what are the future directions in the technology that we are heading towards and the standards that we are adopting including W3C Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), and Verifiable Credentials.
