What we're about

Hyperledger is an open source collaborative effort created to advance cross-industry blockchain technologies. It is a global collaboration, hosted by The Linux Foundation, including leaders in finance, banking, Internet of Things, supply chains, manufacturing and Technology.

Hyperledger Meetup groups have an informal relationship with Hyperledger, and make up a key part of the Hyperledger ecosystem. Participation in a Hyperledger Meetup group is open to anyone--employees of a Hyperledger member company, Hyperledger contributors and developers, and people just passionate about blockchain technology.

Fabric Private Chaincode

Online event

Topic: Fabric Private Chaincode
Speaker(s): Maria Munaro, Marcus Brandenburger & Bruno Vavala
Date: Friday, 27. January 2022
Time: 18:00 - 19:00 CET

About:
Fabric Private Chaincode (FPC) is a new security feature for Hyperledger Fabric that leverages Trusted Execution Technology to protect the integrity and confidentiality of Smart Contracts.

The goal of this session is to educate developers with all the necessary background and first hands-on experience to adopt FPC for their projects.

Agenda:
- An introduction to FPC
- Basic FPC architecture, security properties, and hardware requirements
- FPC Chaincode API
- Applications integration using the FPC Client SDK, and
- Demo how you can code, build and execute an FPC contract

Maria Munaro
Maria is currently working as the Distributed Ledger Architect for Home Lending Pal as well as an active contributor to the Fabric Private Chaincode project. She is a professor of Blockchain, a subject that is part of the curricula of the Masters in Innovation Management at the Economics Faculty of the University of Buenos Aires. Professor of a Hyperledger Fabric course for developers that is part of the National University of Technology of Argentina - Cordoba region extension program.

Dr. Marcus Brandenburger
Marcus is a researcher at the IBM Research Lab in Zurich, Switzerland working in the area of Blockchain Security and Applications. His research is focused on secure distributed systems using confidential computing. Marcus holds a PhD in computer science from TU Braunschweig, Germany. He is an active contributor to the Hyperledger Community, particularly, he writes code for the Fabric Private Chaincode project, and he has spoken at various conferences such as the Hyperledger Global Forum 2021 and 2020, SRDS 2019, and DSN 2017.

Dr. Bruno Vavala
Dr. Bruno Vavala is a Research Scientist in the Trustworthy Distributed Systems team at Intel Labs. His research interests span Trusted Computing, Distributed Systems and Fault-Tolerance. He contributes to the Hyperledger Labs Private Data Objects and Fabric Private Chaincode projects, which aim at enhancing confidentiality of enterprise distributed ledger applications. He presented several works at IEEE conferences and Hyperledger events. He holds a PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and from University of Lisbon.
