Blockchains in Media and Entertainment

Details

Hyperledger projects are already being used in a range of media- and entertainment-specific initiatives. Join us for a town hall style virtual meetup to share your experience with using blockchain in media and entertainment solutions and discuss how the community can collaborate to advance adoption of blockchain in this space.

In that same light, Hyperledger is inviting participation in a Special Interest Group with the same focus. We will discuss the proposal and think through what the Media and Entertainment Special Interest Group could do. More about that proposed group are at the links below.

The full text of the Media and Entertainment Special Interest Group proposal can be accessed here:

A mailing list for the proposed group is at this link. Please sign up for the group if you're interested in taking part.

Town Hall moderators include:

Úrsula O'Kuinghttons, Global Partnership Manager at IOV Labs, has been working on a payment project in crypto for local content creators in Mexico. This is being done with BBVA bank, one of the largest financial institution in Mexico and Spain. To create quality content is expensive, thus we need a new business model, far from the advertising-only business model that has been incredibly destructive.

David MacFadyen, Professor of Comparative Literature, Musicology, and Digital Humanities at UCLA

Jérôme Pons, CEO at Music won't stop
