Hyperledger Fabric for Specialized Marketplaces: Honeywell Case Study

Details
Guest speaker Lisa Butters has the unique experience of "running a startup inside of a 100 year old company." As the General Manager of GoDirect Trade, Lisa spearheaded an initiative which utilizes Hyperledger Fabric to govern the sale of used airplane parts at Honeywell.
Traditionally, navigating the reliable search and sale of used airplane parts has been a 'matter of experience' without a universally established system. Cross-referencing cumbersome databases - even cold-calling warehouses in remote international places to locate an obscure part - has been par for the course, along with the understanding that once received, refurbishing may be required.
The case study Lisa will present shows how blockchain technology can improve conditions like these, demonstrating Hyperledger Fabric's potential to improve logistics flows inside other industries with similar challenges.
