Learn Astrology! A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding the Stars

How do you find love? How can you get ahead in your career? Why do people act crazy when the moon is full? When is the best time to start your new diet?

Have you ever listened to an astrologer talk? You might have been wondering where the ‘English translation’ button is located so that you can perhaps understand some faint glimmer of the words they speak. Astrology is a beautiful combination of art and science and there is much wisdom to be taken from its ancient teachings.

Astrology is a powerful tool in your personal growth, understanding your relationship dynamics, your health, the weather and believe it or not-- it even is a better predictor of the stock market than economic specialists are! Really and truly, it is an amazing tool to help you understand the people around you and how they function, allowing you to understand your friends and family better and making your relationships much smoother for it.

In this series of introductory workshops, you will learn the basic information on astrology; the planets, the zodiac signs, the elements and many other aspects that compose the wheel of the heavens. Each class is designed to give you the relevant information on each topic in a down-to-earth and practical manner. There are four classes in the mini-series that are approximately one and a half hours long followed up with a fifth class that is an all day intensive. We recommend taking all of these classes, but you are more than welcome to drop in as you please. Also, we recommend having your astrological birth chart done. If you have one already, GREAT! Bring it along. If you don't have one, we are offering a special discount to all participants.

Here is the schedule and what to expect:

Class 1: The Energies behind the Zodiac... Tuesday, February 19, 2013 6:30-8:00pm

This class will explain the building blocks of the energies that make up the zodiac. Find out what your element is! Determine your quality! Is your sign male or female? And what does it all mean? Bring your chart along and find out what your strongest energies are!

Class 2: The Twelve Houses of the Zodiac... Tuesday, March 5, 2013 6:30-8:00pm

Astrology is one of many energies that govern over life! And it relates to absolutely everything! Find out the major areas of concentration in your life! Find out where your gifts and challenges are located! Bring along your chart so you can apply this knowledge to your life!

Class 3: The Personality Planets... Tuesday, March 19, 2013 6:30-8:00pm

The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars are called the personality planets. Why? They move the quickest and produce the variety that we find in our personalities. Other than affecting our astrological chart, we can learn to work with these planets in times of need as well. Discover how you can work with the planets to assist you in your daily life!

Class 4: The Trans-personal Planets... Tuesday, April 2, 2013 6:30-8:00pm

Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are what we call the generational planets. They move through the Zodiac wheel much more slowly in comparison to the personality planets and so their changes affect generations instead of individuals. Learn more about these planets and how they affect you on a personal and collective basis!

Class 5: All-day Intensive on the 12 Zodiac signs... Sunday, April 14, 2013 10:00am-4:00pm

So this is where it gets good! Get the low-down on yourself and all your friends and family in one day! The next time someone tells you their zodiac sign, you will have an idea of how they operate! Bring your chart along as well and discover how the other zodiac signs operate in your life since none of us is simply one sign! We will be providing a light lunch and snacks for this event.

Classes 1-4: $25.00 per class

Class 5: $125.00 for all day intensive

Aleksandra's love for Astrology has been fostered since childhood. Upon discovery of her grandfather's collection of astrology books, she was immediately drawn to the subject. Her love for astrology also led her to studying the mythologies and archetypes, as well as, the tarot in her late childhood and teenage years. While studying in University in 2005, Aleksandra received the Life Activation from a healing practitioner of the Modern Mystery School and became deeply interested in the Esoteric teachings of the school. Since that time, she has become a Teacher and Guide with the Modern Mystery School and is also privileged to hold the title of Wiccan High Priestess. She is an active member of the Modern Mystery School's Wicca Community where she happily contributes and imparts the wisdom and energy of the stars for others to partake. Aleksandra feels that it is indeed possible to master the stars so that we may one day co-create with them instead of feeling like we are working against them. It is exactly this empowerment that she feels is most important to bring to others through healing and teaching and sincerely hopes that those she has touched move on to serve others, as well.
