What we're about
This group is for anyone who would like to experience practical tools to help the mind to manage stress, leading to deeper rest and individual peace. The sessions will last for an hour and follow a framework of gentle yoga exercises while seated in chairs, effective breathing techniques ending with a guided meditation. Don't worry if you have no previous experience as the meetup will be guided by an experienced teacher. Come along and try it for yourself! The idea for "I Meditate" Leeds follows successful initiatives by volunteers in London, Edinburgh and worldwide from the "Art of Living" which is a worldwide NGO and charity. The meditations are recordings led by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a renowned humaritarian and spiritual leader who founded the organisation.
