Random Acts of Kindness

According to Researchers from Harvard Medical School and the University of California, San Diego
“When an individual becomes happy, the network effect can be measured up to three degrees. One person’s happiness triggers a chain reaction that benefits not only his friends, but his friends’ friends, and his friends’ friends’ friends. The effect lasts for up to one year.”
One of the primary objectives of the I am Happy Project, is to empower those who share our passion, to be pro-active about making a difference.

One of the most powerful ways to accomplish this is through Random Acts of Kindness!! Sounds simple enough, but sometimes we forget to take time out for our selves, let alone take time to do something kind for someone else…and what feels better than doing something that positively affects all those involved? This is definitely not a new concept, more like a reminder that we need to do more of it.

A Random Act of Kindness could be anything from donating your time, money or goods, helping out a neighbor with yard work to something as simple as holding the door for someone. How about smiling more? That’s an easy one , and it probably wouldn’t hurt to let the guy trying to merge in front of you in either! That’s the beauty of a Random Act of Kindness-the possibilities are truly endless and no matter how large or small your good deed happens to be, the impact will be profound!

Commit To Performing At Least One Random Act of Kindness Each Day

Encourage Others around You to Perform Random Acts of Kindness, Either on Their Own Or As A Joint Effort

Spend Time at the End of the Day Sharing What Each Person Did As His Or
Her Random Act of Kindness

We are going to create a session on our site so that you can share your stories-either what you did or what people did for you. Remember, it will inspire others to get started.

So, let’s get out there, have fun and spread some happiness!!

Do you have an idea for meet up? Post the idea and let us know the number of people required to make it fun and happy. Then email the organizer (if you not one) to schedule the meet up.

Global happiness Summit is coming, would you be there?
