Beginner Guitar Jam - Easy Chords & songs

What: Easy chords and songs for beginner guitarists.

When: Saturday 26th March 12:00 - 14:00

Meeting place: Starbucks near Hiroo station - Then onto practice studios 5 mins by foot

How much: 2500 JPY - This is to cover the rental of the room and equipment. We’ll be using basic practice rooms.

Level: Complete beginner to people who have played for a year or so

Type of guitar: Acoustic and electric both OK. We can hook up up to 4 electric guitars.

Who: Alex will be leading the Meetup. He is a guitar teacher and has been professional performer based in Tokyo for so long he’s almost embarrassed to say. He loves helping out people become the guitarists they want to be. We’ll also be welcoming YOU, you crazy wonderful cool guitar meetup members! Don’t worry if you think you’re level isn’t good enough, we have worked hard at building a supportive, helpful and friendly community who want you to improve your guitar skills!

Details: If you are a beginner or have never even picked up a guitar you are more than welcome to come! We'll be covering chord basics and learning some easy songs, strumming patterns. We'll also study some useful playing techniques you can take away and use to improve your guitar level. We're really lucky to have some super friendly supportive members so don't ever worry that you're not good enough or it'll be difficult. So don't be afraid, come along and you'll be able to learn to play the songs you always wanted to play.

Schedule:

11:50 - Meet outside at Starbucks near Hiroo station

12:00 - Arrive and set up at the practice room

12:10 - Self introductions and goal of the meetup explained

12:30 - Divide into groups and practice soloing techniques

13:00 - Main jam with everyone

13:40 - Q&A Session: Your guitar questions answered

13:50 - Clean up and end
