    Caravan King's Cross

Join our monthly Morning coffee meetup, on the 1st Wednesday morning of every month. I'll welcome suggestions of other coffee shops to meet in elsewhere, in a comment below, otherwise we'll meet at Caravan Kings Cross each month - which will allow much more room for us than where we have been meeting at Half Cup (pictured). I'll be glad to schedule the meetup start earlier or end later if that would suit others better - so please let me know that also in a comment. This morning meetup will fall roughly mid-way between our afternoon & evening meetups in the 3rd week of each month, so one topic of conversation could be what happened last month and what's coming up next. Do share any other suggestions. Please share a review on the group page afterwards, to let others know how you found the meetup - and please use the hashtag #IAFMeetup on social media before, during & after the meetup!

  • IAF England & Wales facilitators & friends virtual coffee meetup

Join our monthly virtual coffee meetup, for informal networking and facilitation chat from the comfort of your own home or desk, from 10-11am on the second Monday of each month - all welcome, bring your own coffee! To see who has RSVPd from other regions, check out our sister meetup groups in Wales, the Midlands & East of England, South West England, the North of England and London & South East of England - for links, see https://www.iaf-world.org/site/chapters/england-wales. To join the meetup go to http://bit.ly/iafmeetup or http://top.adobeconnect.com/iafmeetup/ To ensure that you will be able to connect, you can test your system in advance at https://top.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm Once in the Adobe meeting room, participate by typing in the chat (bottom left), and to connect your audio & video click on 'start my webcam' or click on the mic & webcam buttons at the top of your screen (they will turn from white to green) - see the photos. • London & SE facilitators afternoon networking & learning meetup

    Calthorpe Project

    £10.00

Join us for our bi-monthly Networking and learning meetup, for four hours on the 3rd Tuesday afternoon of every other month - alternating with our Monday evening social meetups. We meet for these every time in the portacabin meeting room of the Calthorpe Project community centre on Grays Inn Road. The room can accommodate up to around 15-20. It is just beyond the small decked area overlooking the community garden, and has moveable tables & chairs and a flip chart, whiteboard and space for a sticky wall. There is a community cafe where we buy lunch or drinks & snacks - tea or coffee and cake will be provide mid-afternoon, included in your fee. The timing and location of these meetups is intended to attract and enable people to travel from outside of London to join us as well - even from neighbouring IAF groups in Scotland, Paris or Brussels (we are a 10 minute walk from the St Pancras Eurostar terminal & Kings Cross). Please invite friends & colleagues from near and far! These meetups allow time and space for us to demonstrate, practice and experiment with our facilitation together, and share feedback on that, as well as share presentations and support through discussion. So, building on the successful format of previous meetups, we suggest some combination each time of these four key elements: • a round of introductions, followed by open discussion to follow up on whatever emerges of common interest • short presentations from one or two of those present, followed by questions and discussion • one or two longer facilitated sessions, followed by feedback and discussion on the process as well as the content * an opportunity for 2 or 3 of those present to share a current challenge or issue that they are struggling with, to receive questions, feedback or advice in return. Please let us know in a comment below if you are prepared to share a presentation, facilitate a session, or bring a challenge or issue for us to respond to. Stay on afterwards if you can to go for some food and drink together nearby. We recommend the Queens Head (http://queensheadlondon.com/), very nearby and on the way back to Kings Cross station. Please share a review on the group page afterwards, to let others know how you found the meetup - and please use the hashtag #IAFMeetup (https://twitter.com/hashtag/iafmeetup) on social media before, during & after the meetup! = Nb: when you RSVP and submit payment via PayPal, please be sure to click on the link at the end of the PayPal process that returns you to Meetup's site. If you close you browser without clicking this link, your payment will be processed but will not be recorded on Meetup.

  • Agile and Facilitation - IAF Europe Middle East conference #AgileFac2019

We're very excited to announce the IAF EME Conference 2019 will be hosted in Milan, Italy! AGILE AND FACILITATION We value individuals and interactions over processes and tools. Agile movement has changed the way people work together in software industry and has become one of the new paradigms of teamwork and project management. Agile approach is extensively based on facilitative leadership and facilitation, and people working in agile have developed their own facilitation tools and techniques. The IAF Europe and Middle East 2019 regional conference will explore the relationship between Agile and Facilitation. What is the role of facilitation into the Agile movement? What are the facilitation techniques and tools that have been most successfully applied from Agilists? Is there any facilitation technique developed by Agilists that has been used by facilitators in other industries and sectors? CONFERENCE Simplicity is to maximize the amount of work done. The IAF EME 2019 Regional Conference will be organised with an Agile format. The works will start on Thursday at 2.30pm and will last until Saturday at 1pm. On Thursday afternoon and Friday will run workshops proposed by participants, while Saturday morning will be in an open space format. VENUE The conference will be hosted in the premises of a no-profit organisation called Olinda. We will work in a theatre, TeatroLaCucina, in the middle of a beautiful park inside the former psychiatric hospital Paolo Pini, in Milan. It is a space managed by La Fabbrica di Olinda, another NGO that since 1999 has as its objective the social inclusion of people with mental health problems in a context rich in choices and exchanges in combination with urban regeneration project. ACCOMMODATION Milano is full of hotels and rooms to let. Considering that the conference venue is very well connected with the city center via metro line 3 or passante ferroviario, any place along the metro line 3 or passante ferroviario coud work, for example around central railway station or also garibaldi central station. If you need to find a place to sleep on a budget, or you prefer to sleep close to the conference venue, we suggest the Olinda hostel, run by the same cooperative that runs the theater where we work. REGISTRATION The venue can host 120 participants at max. Our aim is to keep member attendance fee as lower as possible. 1. IAF members registration fee will be $220 USD 2. IAF non members registration fee $340 USD We welcome members and non members that want support our efforts by adding a support registration option of $100 USD to your registration. The registration fee includes an evening aperitivo Thursday and Friday and a water station available to participants for the entire duration of the works. For the rest of the time it will be open in the hall where we work a paid food service run by an NGO. You pay what you eat. For full details and to register for the conference please visit https://www.iaf-world.org/site/iafeme2019 Please RSVP here to let other meetup group members know that you (note that your RSVP here does NOT register you for the conference!), and please use the hashtag #AgileFac2019 to spread the word more widely! To see who has RSVPd from other regions, check out our sister meetup groups in Wales, the Midlands & East of England, South West England, the North of England and London & South East England (see About Us).
