Identity Governance is a critical foundation for any Privileged Access Management program as any security around privileged accounts is only as good as the controls around who can access them.

Discovery
PAM and IGA works hand-in-hand to help provide a more complete landscape of privileged accounts in the enterprise, including potential shadow IT.

Password Validation
Consistent password validation makes sure that the proper tools are controlling the most privileged accounts; and if a password ever goes out of sync, a potential indicator of compromise, governance can paint a wider picture for that account.

Password Rotation
Routine password rotation for privileged accounts is critical to any PAM project, but also as important is enforcing password security and self-service password resets to the admins who need to access them.

Secure Access
Secure access goes beyond the process of how admins use privilege accounts, and just as important is proper governance in place that can help ensure people have access to only what they need throughout the enterprise.

Patrick has spent his career in IT security, the past half decade of which working for Thycotic. Currently he drives technical demonstrations and implementations within presales engineering. A history in industrial controls networks, medical supply chain technology, and litigation support. Focusing on understanding customer needs and requirements for meeting compliance in their computing infrastructure by adopting PAM automation to achieve these goals.
