What we’re about
Our meetup group is open to everyone interested in learning more about the afterlife, consciousness, death and all other things surrounding spiritual transformative experiences. We have guest speakers and authors share their experiences stories with us each month, and also offer support to individuals who have experienced a Near Death Experience (NDE), Out of Body Experience (OBE), or a Spiritually Transformative Event (STE).
We are affiliated with IANDS (International Association of Near Death Studies, INC. - www.IANDS.org), a non-profit organization that has groups similar to this one in many cities inside and outside of the U.S..
IANDS’ purpose is to promote responsible, multi-disciplinary exploration of near-death and similar experiences, their effects on people’s lives, and their implications for beliefs about life, death, and human purpose. Where scholarship does not indicate a reasonably clear position on the origin or interpretation of these experiences, we remain impartial and open to the presentation of varying points of view; however, while all personal beliefs will be respected, IANDS is under no obligation to consider them all equally supportable.
