Innovate with APIs (App Mod #2)

Details

APIs have become a lingua franca across technology. They enable every minute of our digital experience, catalysing revolutions such as the sharing economy, and continue to drive change and innovation all around us. Though exposing data is guided by well-defined architectural standards, the exposed information and services are consumed with infinite possibilities. To keep pace and innovate means thinking outside of the box.

In our second installment in our Application Modernisation series, we invite you to join us in exploring the relationship between technology and the wild. What can we learn from patterns found in the natural world, and how can these lessons impact our digital modernisation? We will discuss reactive, responsive, resilient software solutions inspired by honeybees, as well as how to share weather data while navigating the unpredictabilities of the atmosphere.

Agenda:
17.30: Registration, Food, Drinks and Networking
18:00 - 19:00: Lightning Talks -

  • Balancing API (de)centralisation and complexity
  • Why are honeybees some of the world's most efficient architects?
  • Open Weather : Making it rain! $$$
    19.00: Open discussion with Q&A
    19.30: Networking & Drinks
