Build an Image Classifier using PyTorch and Watson Studio

Online event

🌟 Overview
Artificial intelligence (AI) is modernizing the world and changing the shape of every industry. It’s a disruptive technology that’s all around us in different applications. One of its main applications is classification models as they help computers identify objects so that they can be used for different tasks like automation.
In this webinar, we explain how to classify an American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet using PyTorch and deep learning networks. we start with a pre-trained model from the PyTorch models zoo and retrains the last part of the network.

🎓 What will you learn?
🔥 How to create projects on Watson studio and how to run Python code inside it.

Data Analytics with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift

Online event

We have seen a range of data published on the impact of various parameters on the spread of covid-19, including population density, the average number of people per household, ethnicity, weather data, etc. Have you ever wanted to run your own analytics on COVID-19 data, and examine data sets in order to draw a particular conclusion? Or possibly evaluate a theory, that may or not may not be true. Such analytics could potentially shed light on the impacts of various factors, and you can apply them to a variety of problems.

Join us for an online workshop where we'll explore how to retrieve COVID-19 data from an authentic source and make it securely available through REST APIs with Kubernetes and OpenShift®. The primary applications are developed in the Spring Boot open-source Java-based framework, but you add more features and apply analytical services on the data in the form of microservices written in different programming languages.

🎓 What you will learn
- Microservices
- Cloud-native application development
- An overview of a data analytics web application, including data source & format, data parser, and REST API endpoints

👩‍💻 Who should attend
- Developers and anyone interested in cloud-native development, data analytics, and OpenShift
