Join the Toy and Game Design Association and IDSA Atlanta for a panel with some amazing. toy designers as they talk about their career paths and the joy of toy design.
- Luis Schittone has been involved in the Toy Design world for over 20 years. His work includes brands like nick jr’s Wonder Pets, the Backyardigans and Ni Hao Kai-lan and Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants (licensor/pd), as well as Carter’s, Sesame Street, Baby Einstein, Bright Starts, and Taggies. He has even dipped his toes in world of dog toys as the Director of Toy Design for Bark retail and teaching marker rendering for FIT’s Toy Design major.
- Katie Lim is the Director of Industrial Design at BARK, where she helps push innovation, aesthetic, and play in the pet industry. Katie leads the design team for BARK’s business Super Chewer, defining the brand, overseeing product development, and establishing the design process for all products in the box subscription and retail assortments. She has seen over 200 dog toy designs through production to shipping. Prior to joining BARK in 2017, Katie was lead designer for Baby Einstein's infant toy products while also pushing all play gym innovation and development. Katie started her toy design career at Kids2, Inc. working on additional brands including Bright Starts, Oball and Taggies, after earning a degree in Industrial Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.
- Omar Gonzalez is a Toy Designer for Strottman International and leads varying projects from Chick-fil-a plush to Lowe's wood kits. He has also designed toys for brands like Chevron, Baby Einstein, Sesame Street, Oball, and more. He enjoys developing new and exciting play patterns to push the boundaries of play.
