What we're about

A place for Internal Family Systems folks to learn, connect & grow in Chicago & the Midwest!

All members must be approved. If you didn't receive an invitation to join, please indicate who referred you or your background in IFS. Because I can't write individual letters to all people who apply, if you were not invited, please make sure to fill out the questions completely to describe your IFS background. All pending applications will be deleted within a month if there is not enough information.

This group is not an introductory group; it requires a basic knowledge of the IFS model to join. You must have taken an IFS workshop, read an IFS book, done IFS work with an IFS practitioner, or be an IFS practitioner to join. This helps keep the group strong and cohesive.

If this group is not an appropriate group for you, no worries! There is a group that is for people who are interested in IFS but don't know about it: that group is Creative, Practical, Spiritual Self Transformation Chicago at www.meetup.com/Spiritual-Chicago (http://www.meetup.com/Spiritual-Chicago/).

This group is private. The public can see general information about events, but not the location of the events.

The membership list is private. It is not available to the public.

We require all IFSers to post a picture. This is to facilitate community and get to know each other. If your picture just says "no picture" or is a grey square with the outline of a person, that doesn't qualify as a picture. If your membership is not approved, and you don't have a picture, upload a picture! If you have difficulty, contact me (Melissa) through the "contact" button on the left.

All members can post events ("suggest a Meetup"). So if you have an IFS event, please post it! It will take a day or two to be approved, and then it will be live!

Also, please feel free to use this site to create informal social events where IFSers can connect. I will moderate the posts so that the site remains focused on strengthening the IFS community in Chicago and the Midwest.

All posted events must either be IFS related, or geared towards connecting the IFS community socially. All postings must have "IFS" in the title. For example, for social events, "IFS Social Event" in the title will work great.

Only in-person events can be posted. No online seminars, blog entries, etc.

Thanks for creating a Self-led online IFS Midwest community!
