Impact100 Oakland County is an organization of women committed to improving their community by providing substantial grants to nonprofit organizations in Oakland County. We are about the power of collective decision-making and collective philanthropy. As a grant-making organization, Impact 100 Oakland County brings together women in our community to do something truly remarkable. The idea is simple: 100 women (or more), each giving $1,000 and each having one vote resulting in a gift of $100,000 to an organization that has a big idea and great potential but may have little access to large-scale funds.
The first chapter of Impact 100 started in 2001 in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are now over 30 chapters of Impact 100 in the U.S. serving their local areas.
2016 marks Impact100 Oakland County's Inaugural year! In 2016 we reached exactly 100 members. On October 26, 2016 we awarded our first $100,000 grant to an amazing non profit, Variety the Children's Charity. The grant money will provide Pontiac elementary students who are at-risk of weekend hunger with nutritious, easy to assemble meals to allow children to grow, learn and live healthy lifestyles. This will fund approximately 330 children for three years. WOW!
2017 Membership is open NOW! Membership is open to all women who embrace the same goals regardless of where they live. The organization is inclusive and strives for diversity of all types. Impact 100’s objective is to have a minimum of 100 members who each donate $1,000 annually. One hundred percent of the funds donated is returned to the community in the form of grants.
By pooling our resources to create one large gift, we can make an IMPACT!
