A Meetup group meant to bring together people that share deeper connections and similarities, instead of focusing merely on external activities.
This is a group for those that fall within these MBTI personality types: INFJ, INTJ, INFP, INTP, ENFP, ENTP, which are the Myers-Briggs personality assessment. There are 16 types in total, and each have certain personality traits, such as introverted, intuitive, etc... If you have a hard time fitting in normal social circles, are tired of the general small talk most people indulge in, and are craving more meaningful discussions and interactions, then this is the group for you. If you are not very familiar with the MBTI, you can do a bit of reading on it, and also on these specific types. All of these types are usually genuine and friendly people, not prone of playing games, emotionally balanced, so they play well together, at least on paper.
If you don’t already know what your type is, here is a link to a free and simple test:
This group is not just for people who feel they don’t fit in normal social circles, or are just introverted, you need to be in either one of these 6 types, there is more to these personality types than being somewhat introverted/introspective (and a few are extroverted). These types work well together, circumventing the often awkward incompatible personality issues, feeling misunderstood by others. Surrounding yourself with people that you share a deeper sense of connection with is already a few steps ahead of just joining your average Meetup group. Similar interests such as volleyball or hiking is great for physical activities, but for sharing your true self, having a few external similar interests doesn’t quite cut it for more long lasting friendships and relationships.
Some of the activities you can expect to be able to participate in are the same kind of activities of other groups, though more focused on strong connections, intelligent discussions, and truthful, open and honest interactions. All of these types generally enjoy deeper connections with people, and feel rather depleted with small talk and big group/noisy environments, so these would mostly be avoided.
Smaller groups, more meaningful interactions are to be expected, with activities meant to foster these situations, but in normal settings and activities.
To join this group:
You must have a recognizable profile picture
Please also include your MBTI results, such as this example from an INTJ:
This will not only let us know that you have taken the test, but will also serve to better understand where we all fit in, and give us something to talk about.
And mention why you would like to join this group.
Thanks for reading, and looking forward to connect!
