We will be hosting this event at an amazing Belfast City Hall. Please enter from the rear of the building and make your way to the "reception hall".

Things Connected NI are kindly providing the catering for the evenings event.

Please aim to arrive at 6.30pm for an opportunity to say hello, and for some pre-event networking and snacks.

The format will be 3 short 15 minute presentations, each followed by 5 minutes of questions.

1. NarrowBand IoT by Ryan Addley from Vodafone.

Ryan is an IoT Business Development Manager for IoT Northern Europe @ Vodafone Global Enterprise. He'll be coming all the way from Glasgow to tell us about their rollout of NB IoT, and Vodafone's IoT strategy.

2. LoraWAN By Joe Rafferty from Ulster University
- Benefits of LoRaWAN contrasted with other technologies (such as 4G).
- A brief description of the Things Connected NI network.
- Some information about registering and using the network.
- A description of related funded challenges + information on applying
- The benefit of LoRaWAN devices in the context of global and emerging markets

3. 5G for critical IoT by Youngwook Ko from the Center for Wireless Innovation at Queen's.
The presentation will address mission-critical requirements to provide some difference from other technologies such as NB-IoT and LORA

There will be a short period of networking after the presentations. Then, as is customary, we'll retire to a nearby pub.
