IRAUG May Meeting: Innovation Games!

Please join us on Tuesday, May 25 as we will be performing an Innovation Game!

The Innovation Games Company helps businesses improve performance through collaborative play. As the leading producer of online and in-person Serious Games, The Innovation Games Company can help you solve complex problems in sales, corporate strategy, marketing strategy and product development.

Created by CEO Luke Hohmann, and documented in his book Innovation Games: Creating Breakthrough Products through Collaborative Play, the Innovation Games are effective ways to collaborate with customers to better understand their needs and mesh particularly well with Agile Development processes. They have been used to improve holistic design thinking, discover business opportunities, drive strategy and product roadmap decisions, improve the effectiveness of sales and service organizations, fine tune marketing messages and create more intimate, durable relationships with your customers. We will look at a number of Innovation Games and how they could be used at your company, while walking through a specific exercise in our group! Please invite anyone you know that may be interested as this will be a great introduction to innovative ways you can improve the way you work!

We look forward to seeing you there!

*Food will be provided compliments of TEKSystems*

This was yet another opportunity to learn of some great resources available to help facilitate teams within our work environment and promote team building. It was a good opportunity to explore ways to work through issues in a non threatening environment.

I didn't feel this was one of the better meetings. Possibly a different game would have been better for the group.

Our team had the wrong conception on how the meeting should have begun or perhaps I did not quite understand. The approach was wrong in my opinion, thus time was wasted. But overall the message was clear.

This was a great exercise for looking at innovative ways to connect with other team members to see how effective the team is performing. Luke has some great ideas in his book "Innovation Games" for ways to grab your team's attention and look at ways to be more efficient and work better. Mark Saladino did a great job facilitating and providing examples of ways to use Innovation Games to provide value to teams - Thank you, Mark!
