On Wednesday March 27th the IT Infrastructure & Security Alliance is hosting another the Cloud & DevOps Meetup, as a Service! Also, a war story of a Cloud Native journey and kubernetes adoption in a 250 year old organisation. Agenda: 18:30 Doors open + 🍔🍔🍔 19:00 Arjen Vriens (CloudNation) 20:00 Break 20:15 Ferhat Yildiz & Laura Rehorst (ABN AMRO) 21:15 End + drinks --- 💬 Introduction to the topics Talk #1: “Multi-Cloud” or “Multiple Clouds” Strategy? -- While Public Cloud is gaining ground and is becoming the new normal for many organizations, the question is: how do I get the most out of the use of Public Cloud platforms and does it make sense to create a multi cloud strategy. What value will a multi-Cloud Strategy deliver your organization or should you consider the use of multiple clouds? What is the difference and how can you benefit? Talk #2: From COBOL to Kubernetes: A 250 Year Old Bank's Cloud Native Journey -- Adopting Kubernetes in an enterprise setting is challenging enough. Doing so in the highly-regulated banking industry presents further challenges. In this presentation Laura Rehorst (Product Owner - Stratus Platform, ABN AMRO) and Ferhat Yildiz (DevOps Consultant) will share some of the lessons learned during ABN AMRO's Kubernetes adoption, discuss how Kubernetes accelerated the bank's Digital Transformation, and demonstrate parts of our Continuous Compliance infrastructure. --- 👨 About the speakers 1.
