Fachgruppe Frauen und Informatik
Gesellschaft für Informatik 1986 wurde die Fachgruppe Frauen und Informatik gegründet. Sie eint heute über 300 Frauen, die mit und in der Informatik arbeiten, in gemeinsamem Engagement. Die Fachgruppe ist Teil des Fachbereichs Informatik und Gesellschaft. Sie ist Mitglied im Deutschen Frauenrat und im Kompetenzzentrum Technik, Diversity, Chancengleichheit. Neben Informatikerinnen und IT-Expertinnen sind auch Frauen aus der Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie, aus der schulischen, beruflichen und universitären Bildung, der Technikgeschichte und der Arbeits- und Berufssoziologie aktiv. This is the Berlin chapter of Women in Informatics. We provide a monthly meeting to exchange knowledge, start new projects and to facilitate women in tech. The group for Women in Informatics was founded in 1986 and unites more than 300 women working within the field of Informatics and Information and Communication Technology. It brings together IT experts and women who are engaged in schools, higher education institutions, vocational training, industrial and occupational sociology and in the history of technology. The group is part of the Informatics and Society Group (FB IUG) of the Gesellschaft für Informatik. It is also a member of the National Council of German Women’s Organization (Deutscher Frauenrat) and the Competency Centre Technology-Diversity- Equal Chances (Kompetenzzentrum Technik, Diversity, Chancengleichheit).
