Moth StorySlam "Manners" at Los Globos. Live the story.

Details
Congratulation on looking ahead on the calendar and fining the "secret" events that are not yet announced.
This event is posted but not "announced."
In some cases this is ready to announce. And it will be announced about one(1) month before the event date with finalized details.
It is still in progress of being "written up." And in others it is in need of something like an Event Host.
You are encouraged to RSVP now and you will get sure to get updates.
If you would like to host this event as the primary or as an additional Event Host . . . please message Mac and say you would like to Host.
This event is an odd one. There are those who know what "The Moth" is and they already RSVP'd.
There are those that do not, . . . so read on, . . . The Moth's as a most simple description is just a bunch of stories. But then again, . . . . so are most things are so is much of life. The Moth has a mission is to promote the art and craft of storytelling and to honor and celebrate the diversity and commonality of human experience. ...and showcase the great range of from and to us all. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways.
The theme for this one is "MANNERS"
IF you are now going "hmmmmmmm . . . . this sounds interesting" Yes, . . . it is. So here is what will happen. 7pm Doors Open / 7:30 Stories Begin (meetup time is set for 6:30 so we are in the front of line when the doors open to get seats, . . . otherwise will be standing).
Everyone who attends will be the audience and anyone has the option of being a storyteller. If you want to tell a tale, . . . you fill out a slip with your name and drop it in a hat (it might be a bowl or bag).
They pull names 10 times as they go.. 5 stories a small break and then 5 more. And that's the whole show. What's that? You want to really try going or speaking? You want to know more?
Since the prompt is "Manners" . . . .Prepare a five-minute story about civil comportment. P's and Q's, southern hospitality, reform school. Behaving like a perfect lady/gentleman or revealing your uncouth inner beast. Bad habits, rude encounters, misinterpretations. Sit up straight, elbows off the table...wait your turn! Or whatever, . . . How do I get tickets?
GO HERE https://themoth.org/events/manners-los-angeles (but not yet) Tickets for this event are available one week before the show, at 12pm PT .

Now for the standard information:
The Moth is a storytelling event competition with ten story tellers and a winner at the end of the night who will go on to compete in the GrandSlam. It's like an open mic comedy night where people just tell stories centered around a particular theme. This one is "Manners" You can come to just listen or you can sign up to tell your own story, if you have the chutzpah to pull it off.
If you have a guest have them RSVP on the group. That way there is a name and a face for everybody.
