The Velveteria is a Museum of Paintings on Black Velvet. But is also sooooooooooooooo much more.

It's on all the hot culture lists and well as social funk lists.

It's quirky personified.

We get to go with special after hours complete access with up close and personal guided tours too by the founder and other art experts on hand.

There will ALSO will be a paint station set up some velvet and paints so you can see for yourself how difficult to impossible it is do.

There will also be alcohol!!!

Let's go over all the info:
Normally open only in the day. They are opening in the eve just for us. Also normally a "dry" location it will be booze soaked just for us.

So we get a cocktail party in the museum.
Or you get a museum visit/tour with drinks in hand.
Or you get both! (and more!!)

Here are the details. Admission to the museum is normally $10 and well worth it.
For this event the cost will the $20 paid online
IT WILL BE MORE if choose to pay in person at the door. $25 at the door!!
Of course that is if it does not sell out online (it did last time)

What is the parking? Street and there are lots across the street that is free in the evening.
You can take the Red, Gold, or Expo to Union and walk the last bit. It's spitting distance from Union Station and Olvera Street

Why 8PM? It gives people time the get there.

Why Fri and not Sat? Why not!

How where know where the meetup is? There will be a host at the door to introduce, and the museum curator/owner will be there with color and information about the artwork.

Let me get this right, . . . It costs $10 if I go 11AM to 6PM Wed thru Sunday. But it costs $20 on a Friday eve, . . . . I get private access, . . . it's a party, . . . there are drinks, . . . and it's a meetup!!!! And all profits go to the museum to keep this awesome thing going?

This is really a special event.
LIMITED CAPACITY
It is different from our normally free cocktail mixers or free museum events. The money on this goes to Velveteria. It's worth it for the access and fun we are getting.

SECOND ISSUE
Velveteria is going to be doing a Paint Night. You will receive direct instruction on how to paint on Velvet. This is NOT your average paint night. It will be IN THE MUSEUM. Date is flexible.
