Potential RAIN DATE: I will confirm by either Wed or Thursday the paddle for Saturday based on weather forecast. But, if Saturday looks like a rain out, then we are holding Sunday, August 17th at the same time for a potential rain date.
Join the Ice Age Trail Segment Hikers & More group for a paddle on Mirror Lake. This is considered a "beginner" paddle and will take you through a waterway surrounded by sandstone bluffs on both sides and a relaxed paddle experience.
This is a great opportunity to explore the lake if you haven't been there before. It's a leisurely paddle of anywhere from 2-3 hours depending on how far down each arm of the lake you want to paddle.
Bring sunscreen and snacks and water and PFD.
The 9am start is to hopefully beat the worst of the heat that day and to be able to get parking spots at the launch. We would like to have everyone there and boats in the water by 9am.
After the paddle, Ryan and I were going to grab lunch and a WI state beverage (beer) somewhere in town and all are welcome to join us. Location to be determined.
Directions: Go to Mirror Lake State Park

You will need a WI state park sticker or buy a daily pass at the ranger station at the entrance of the park. Once at the park, follow signs to the Boat Launch. Parking is along one side of the boat launch and gets full fast on a Saturday. Overflow parking is usually at the Beach area and you could launch a kayak from the beach and paddle over to the boat launch to meet the group.
Any questions - please let me know. Ryan and I will probably be there around 8:30am and we will be in a red Camry with WI plates and I'll hang out at the launch/ramp area with my black and teal kayak until we think we have the whole group together. My phone number (Erin) is 262-949-8917 if anyone needs to reach me.
