About us
Globalizing Ideas
Thanks to our growing community, we can debate big ideas with people all over the world... Simultaneously!!
https://ideas-exchange.info/en/
Join our global community of minds and share with people in different countries and from all backgrounds thorough our weekly online debates. Imagine debating with people in 10 different countries at the same time... How awesome is that?
This is a safe, inclusive and respectful space designed to talk to other humans, learn from one another and implement our ideas, in all relevant aspects of life.
We will discuss both “big” and “small” ideas, talking about the past, present, and future, the ideal world and our everyday reality.
Each Meetup will have a main focus subject, with a wide margin to explore other interesting topics.
Our main rule:
“I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.”
Some subjects we’ll explore:
• Human wellbeing and psychology
• Relationships and family
• Society, economics and politics
• Lifestyles, cultures and languages
• Technology and futurism
• Philosophy, religions and ideologies
• The “why” and “what for” of life
And many more, that we’ll decide on together…
Welcome to the global community of Ideas Exchange!

Too Damn Expensive? Why Life Feels Unaffordable
·OnlineOnlineWelcome to this fascinating global debate… held simultaneously!
Join participants from cities the world over… don’t miss out!
https://ideas-exchange.info/en/online-debate/expensive-life/
You can book your space in a few easy steps.
Rent, groceries, gas, healthcare, student loans, childcare, dating, small comforts, the occasional dinner out… For many people in North America, even a “good” income no longer seems to guarantee financial ease. Life feels more expensive, more fragile, and harder to plan.
In this discussion, we’ll explore why so many people feel like their money disappears the moment it arrives, how the cost of living is reshaping where we live, whether we start families, how we date, how we save, and what kind of future we can imagine. We’ll also look at how global events — from energy shocks and oil prices to supply chains and geopolitical instability — can end up affecting our rent, grocery bills, and daily choices.
We’ll meet online, coffee or another drink in hand, and talk with other curious people trying to make sense of a very familiar feeling: working hard, doing “the right things,” and still wondering why life feels unaffordable.
Some topics we’ll touch on:
• Rent, groceries, gas, and healthcare: why does everyday life cost so much?
• Good jobs, decent salaries, and still feeling financially stretched
• Dating, marriage, kids, and the rising price of adulthood
• Student loans, credit cards, and the disappearance of savings
• Small comforts, guilt, and the psychology of spending
• Oil, global instability, and how distant crises reach our wallets
• Personal responsibility vs. broken systems: where do we draw the line?
• And so much more!
By the end of the discussion, we’ll have explored an uncomfortable but very current question: are we living beyond our means, or has a dignified life simply become too expensive?
