Are the constant demands and challenges in your life making you feel stressed? Then it’s time to take charge of your life and transform your world through mindfulness, a scientifically researched approach, proven to improve our quality of life! Mindfulness based stressed reduction (MBSR) is one of the simplest, easiest and most effective practices for stress reduction, available in the modern day! The practice involves paying attention to the present moment by seeing clearly whatever is happening in our lives, through a process of relaxation and awareness. Why Mindfulness? Most of our anxiety and stress is induced by worry about the past, or fear of the future. As human’s in the midst of achieving, doing and acquiring, we are often “not present” in our own lives and forget to take notice of our unconscious emotional and thought patterns which often include judgement and self-criticism. This results in increased stress levels and triggered responses of anger and fear, which keep us entangled in our challenges. How Does It Work? Many people complain about meditation being boring, difficult or a waste of time. Sitting still and listening to your own thoughts for a few minutes a day may be the best move you can make for yourself! By simply increasing our awareness of thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations, we start paying attention to what our body is telling us, we being to identify areas of our life that need attention, and we can connect to a sense of peace and clarity that exists within us, amidst the chaos in life!
