We are holding this workshop on the grounds of Prescott Park in Portsmouth, NH because it is home to one of the most unique floral gardens in New England, with over 500 unique species planted.
This is a target rich environment for this type of photograph and a great location to practice your macro photo skills. There is an abundance of color, texture and design features to feast your camera on.The flowers attract many species of insects which add an additional set of macro photo opportunities to shoot.The variety of flora and fauna are ideal for making original creative images.
This workshop includes a study guide that is a PDF document that will be sent via email prior to the workshop. It will include information about camera equipment to bring and the shooting techniques you need to review before the workshop..
We will spend the on location photo workshop combining instruction with hands on practice - field photography.
Tripods are useful and recommended for this workshop. Dedicated macro lenses, close-up filters, or point & shot cameras with MACRO mode all can be used in this workshop.
