Mexico City Group Trip Aug 26 - Sept 3

Our 2nd group trip : come for all or just part of it

These trips are for all levels and styles of travelers so come to 1 of our meetups to get more details . If you are a new or inexperience traveler we can help with Planning, Packing, Safety, Tech stuff or any other questions you may have .

This is also for people who don't like travelling alone but still want someone to have dinner and a drink with at the end of the day and for people who don't want to pay tour prices and have flexibility of their days.

We picked Mexico city for several reasons : easy flight , great weather , incredible history and culture .

Gloria & I will be taking areomexico 695 on aug 26 from YVR and I will be returning Sept 3 areomexico 696

Nathan might be coming from Calgary if he's schedules allow.

Gloria & I will be either staying at Hotel Castropol in the historical center.

We picked that area for the group to stay as it has all levels of accommodations , a variety restaurants , walkable and easy access from the airport.

We used booking.com to book - and it now shows some dates not available at the hotel. This is because it is possible to book and cancel with no fee which is what we did. If the dates are not available, just keep watching, as people cancel places become available. If you wish to book another option use Google Maps to see how far it is to our hostel.

Daily optional activities will be available with one of the leaders . These activities can range from 3 hours to all day . On the days that the activities are only a few hours , this rest of the day is yours to explore the city by yourself or with others from the group .

At the end of the day we will have a restaurant and time picked out so we can get together as group to socialize and recap our day.

A walking tour of the old city

Hop On Hop Off bus tour

Baseball or Soccer game

From our research a rough daily budget is $60.00 CDN but this is based on hostels/mid size hotels , a couple of meals & drinks and an attractions.

We emphasize that all costs are incurred by you and your travel style.

You should be prepared to walk a few hours a day , have some apps installed on your phone ( google maps or maps.me , google translate , WhatsApp and possibly uber )
